Manipulations

Chiropractic adjustment or manipulation is a manual procedure that utilizes the highly refined skills developed during our doctor of chiropractic’s intensive years of chiropractic education. Our Doctors typically use their hands–but sometimes an instrument is needed–to manipulate all joints of the body, not just the spine, in order to restore or enhance joint function. Chiropractic adjustments help to realign the body, resolve joint dysfunction and inflammation, increase joint and muscle mobility and reduce the patient’s pain.

Our Doctors like the whole body approach and not just focus on the area of pain, sometimes releasing an area away from the pain will cause the problem to go away. This is considered the referral pain pattern. Chiropractic manipulation is a highly controlled procedure that rarely causes discomfort. Our Doctors adapt the procedure to meet the specific needs of each patient. Patients often note positive changes in their symptoms immediately following treatment. The following are a list of techniques used by our Doctors: diversified, gonstead, thompson drops, activator, arthrostim, Flexion Distraction, Chiropractic Biophysics, mckenzie method, pettibon, palmer package, extremity adjusting.
