Jenny Sweat has been a resident of The Villages since 2004. With a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Jenny was a personal trainer and group exercise instructor at MVP Athletic Club and The Villages Wellness Center from 2006 to 2017 and she currently continues to teach group exercise classes at MVP. Over the years, Jenny has worked with numerous clients for personal training and taught a variety of group exercise or small group training classes such as golf conditioning, Just Balance, softball conditioning, Boot Camp, Spinning, and many others. She is passionate about helping people improve their health and quality of life.
Jenny grew up in Georgia and received her undergraduate degree in Education from The University of Georgia. She taught health and physical education and coached on the high school and junior college level. From teaching and coaching, Jenny went back to the University of Georgia to receive her master’s degree in Exercise Physiology. Over 30 years, she has worked in cardiac rehab, hospital fitness, and disease management in addition to being a personal trainer.
Jenny’s life motto is “people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” In her spare time, Jenny and her husband stay active with various fitness activities, playing golf and serving others in the community and local church.
