Y-Strap Decompression Adjustment: Y-Strap decompression is a manual spinal decompression technique that uses a special strap to release pressure along the spine by gradually stretching the spine. It also effectively adjusts the vertebral joints and restores alignment. The technique works to return a protruding disc to its natural position, lift pressure off the affected nerve, loosen up restricted joints, and reduce inflammation.
The chiropractors at Legacy Clinic of Chiropractic use Y-Strap decompression adjusting when needed. There are many stories in the mind that we create out of fear, but that in fact do not serve to make us safer or happier. To recognize these one by one and use the above method to weed them out is to take huge steps toward peace and happiness within. Acupuncture can help this process become easier and smoother. By bringing the functional systems of your body into balance your thinking becomes clearer, and it is easier to be more aware of the different stories you have come to live with. It also helps to increase focus and allow for breathing and meditation exercises to become easier. Overall, acupuncture is a wonderful technique for easing anxiety and bringing about greater ease in life.
More than 40 million U.S. adults have symptoms of anxiety, which refers to excessive worrying that’s hard to control and often impacts daily life. It’s often treated with psychotherapy, medications, or a combination of both.
What are the benefits?
There have been several studies done about the effects of acupuncture on anxiety. These studies have focused mostly on generalized anxiety disorder and suggest that acupuncture is helpful in treating general anxiety.
One promising study from 2015, for example, found that acupuncture improved symptoms in people with anxiety that didn’t respond to other treatments, including psychotherapy and medication. Participants received ten 30-minute sessions of acupuncture over the course of 12 weeks. They experienced a significant reduction in their anxiety, even 10 weeks after treatment.
What to expect
When you go in for your first appointment, your acupuncturist will start by asking you which symptoms you’re looking to treat. They’ll also ask about any medications you take, your medical history, and any other health concerns you have. This is a good time to ask any lingering questions you have about the process.
During your actual session, they’ll insert long, thin needles into different pressure points on your body. Depending on the pressure points used, this could take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes. Your acupuncturist might also twist the needles or apply an electrical pulse to them. They’ll leave the needles in for up to 20 minutes before carefully removing them.

The game was first invented in 1965 by three dads in the United States with bored kids. It slowly made its way to Canada and is now the country’s fastest-growing sport.
It’s a game played by young, old, and everyone in between. In fact, the slogan of Pickleball Canada is, “A Game for All.”
If you live in The Villages then you or you now someone who plays pickle ball. In order to hit the ball over the net you need to use the rotator cuff of the shoulder to provide the racket motion. If you want to get a little more power in your swing, then you will need to use your pelvis to help rotate you when you swing the racket. The pelvis plays a very important roll in racket sports and in golf. The pelvis is made up of two sacroiliac joints that are constantly moving when twisting, bending, or walking. The more mobility these joints have, the better swing of a pickle ball racket you will have.
Chiropractors at Legacy Clinic of chiropractic in The Villages do a series of orthopedic and biomechanical assessments to see how your SI joint is moving. If the doctors determine that the SI joint is fixated, a chiropractor adjustment is given. After a specific SI joint adjustment, a patient will feel more mobility in the pelvis which will help with racket sports and rotating activities.
To have your SI joint evaluated and to improve your pickle ball game, contact Legacy Clinic of Chiropractic in the Villages.

Ozone injections safely eliminate the causes of pain and gives a 75% chance for the chronic pain sufferer to become permanently pain free!
Ozone injections cause repair and tightening of the lax structures, partially torn connective tissue, cartilage, muscles, and ligaments. Regenerative ozone injections halt the pain/inflammation cycle. This allows for better circulation, increased blood flow carrying nutrition, and hydration of the damaged tissues. This allows for a healing environment within the joint/muscle to develop and results in increased range of motion and decreased pain.

Ozone Testimonials:
I had been suffering with severe shoulder pain since January. Had done physical therapy which helped take the edge off during the day but it would keep me up in pain all night. No type of pain medication would work. After my first visit and my first set of Ozone injections my shoulder was pretty much pain free. And after the second set I can honestly say it’s like my shoulder is back to normal. I can’t wait to go back to get my knee done! Dr. Perry is very personable and does not give you the run around as I have found with many Dr.’s.
Are you feeling compressed? Spinal compression happens when the vertebrae in our spines begin to press down on one another. This puts extra pressure on our discs and can cause them to bulge or even herniate. When the discs bulge or herniate, they put pressure on the spinal cord and nerves which is what causes immense pain.
What causes compression?
Poor posture is one of the leading causes of spinal compression. Our spines are naturally curved to be able to withstand the pressure put on them. Poor posture can slowly decrease these curvatures which puts more pressure on the spine than it can handle. This pressure then pinches the discs in between our vertebrae and causes them to bulge out.
What can be done?
Spinal decompression is a safe and pain free treatment that helps you regain the natural space in the spine. This allows your discs to regain their natural shape.
Over the course of the treatment, your body can relearn how to hold the proper curvature. This will keep the discs healthy and keep you out of pain!
Spinal decompression involves the use of specialized tables that apply a gentle amount of pull to eith your neck (cervical spine) or lower back (lumbar spine). This pull holds for 45 seconds stretching the spine and releases to half the pull for 25 seconds. This gentle pull and release allows your spine to stretch without causing your muscles to guard. The treatments typically last 10 minutes and are often so relaxing that patients can fall asleep.
Who should get decompression?
If you have pain anywhere in the back or neck, it would be a good idea to ask your chiropractor about decompression. The pain doesn’t have to be in the back or neck though. Because the spinal cord feeds nerves to the whole body, you coud have a problem in your back and feel it in your legs or a problem in your neck and feel it in your arms. If you’re feeling compressed, you could probably benefit from this treatment.
